Gnawt-a-Rock™ Treat Dispenser

natural rubber treat dispenser & toy

Color

Selected: Blue Pool

It may look like a piece of obsidian rock, but it’s Gnawt-a-Rock - a durable treat dispensing dog toy is inspired by natural volcanic glass formed by rapidly cooling lava from Pacific Northwest volcanoes. The Gnawt-a-Rock is made with natural latex rubber, a faceted surface, and an irregular shape. It all comes together to keep your pup guessing, whether chasing after its erratic bounce or nuzzling and nosing it around for interactive treat-dispensing to stimulate their mind.

Check out the Gnawt-a-Stick™ and Gnawt-a-Cone™ - the other two toys in the Pacific Gnaw-west toy collection inspired by the natural surroundings in Ruffwear’s home of Bend, Oregon.

One Size: 4.5 in (11.5 cm) Diameter

Our toys are designed to be interactive - it's just more fun that way. While our toys suit a range of play styles, dogs can be crafty and determined chewers, so supervised play is recommended. If any part of the toy becomes loose or detached, take the toy away and discard.

    German Shepherd’s Favorite Toy

This is the fourth Gnawt-a-Rock that my German Shepherd has loved. Each evening after post-dinner rest, I put a handful of small treats inside that he gets out by rolling it around with his nose, pouncing on it, or by whatever means necessary. He then contentedly chews it for a while. I said it was his fourth one - not because it doesn’t last long. It does. Months. And it’s too big for him to roll under any furniture, a huge bonus!

    Gnawt-a-Rock

Hard to say which toy is Lily’s favourite, this or the Gnawt-a-Cone. Both have held up well to her chewing and make great toys for fetch.

    My dogs love them

I already had two but wanted some backups. I put in kibble and a few other treats. Originally I worried that some kibble would remain on the floor but they clean up very well so about 1/3 of their meal is coming from the toy and they both are very excited to feed this way— like scatter feeding but more challenging.

    Gnawt a Rock

Jynx, my blind GSD, absolutely loves these. We have had several over the past 5 years. The Gnawt a rock is unpredictable for him and gives him great mental stimulation. The video says it all.

We love Gnawt a-Rock in Wisconsin

Great new color! I have a “medium aggressive” chewer.

We love this toy and this might be up third one in 4 years? I just pass on the older ones to a family member with a more gentle dog (we use ours every morning with a hard to get out sweet potato fry and a crunchy treat so they take a beating and get a little weaker structurally over the course of a year, but still very very useable).

Anyway, this is his favorite toy for extracting the fun treats!

We are too lazy to be ambassadors for Ruffwear, but we really love this company!
